VERGE CURL STYX

This curling iron is amazing!  I just bought one yesterday and I love how easy it is to use.  It's a curling wand with THREE sizes to choose from.  The wands heat up insanely quick and are super hot.  Because of the heat, make sure to use a heat protector with the wands.  Also, because it's really hot, you don't need to have it in your hair for as long as some other curling tools.

For $110 you get the wands, a lame little glove, (I personally hate the glove, it creeps me out and I refuse to show an image of the horrific aforementioned item) and a carrying case.  I like the case because it keeps all the parts in one place and allows you to take it wherever you like, if you like.

Next time you're in the shop ask for the wand to be used on you and see what you think?  Some important things about this tool 1) protect your hair and 2) protect yourself.  The wands get pretty hot and because the wand is quite long it's easy to burn yourself.  Please be careful and curl safely!  That's the fresh perspective...

BEAUTIFYING ELIXIRS This is a new product line we've been trying for a little while. Still natural, still good for you and your hairs. Beautifying Elixirs is a unique line formulated for specifically damaged, processed or dry hair. The price point is quite high, so if your locks are healthy and shiny or if you've never colored you hair, it's not for you.

There is absolutely NO WATER in any of the products so they are quite concentrated and potent. You don't need much because a little really goes a long way. There are two shampoo and conditioner combos, a curl cream, a masque, a hairspray, a detangler/thermal spray, and the actual elixir.

Another great feature about this line is that all nine products have heat protection, UV protection and color protection. No sulphates, phthalates, parabens, or any of that yucky stuff. You just need to try.

PURE ANADA

As most of you know, we really try to forage the best products for your use and consumption.  Pure Anada is a natural cosmetic line out of Canada that has a strong sense of what natural really means.  We just started carrying their mascara because it is absolutely amazing!

Mascara is one of those make-up essentials that can do a lot with even just a few swipes.  What kind of mascara do you use?  Do you know what's in it?  Do you know why/how it makes your lashes looks so good?  Pure Anada's mascara is as natural as it gets, its vegan, it's pH balanced, comes in black and brown, and it's made and distributed locally (no worries about where it was shipped from, or if small children were responsible for filling the tubes).

PRODUCT REVIEW Compressed towel tablets

I love these towels!  As a mother of young ones, I need to have a handy wipe around at all times.  Prospector Co, a line we carry at the shop, has these great towel tablets.  You get six in a jar and all you need to do is add water.  The tablets turn into wipes that you can use on faces, hands, and genteel parts.  Because you just add water,  you don't have to worry about any of the chemicals that can be present in many over-the-counter wipes.

It's too bad that you only get six in a jar but I like to think that being able to reuse this cute 2 oz. jar makes up for it. ( I have three already...)  Also, because it's a 2 oz. jar, it can fit almost anywhere!  To be fair you don't need to have kids to get this product, it's handy, and works really well.  That's the fresh perspective...
