Any of you on Pinterest? It's another one of the many types of social media applications for your smart phone, lap/desk top, or tablet. A place where you can place all your visual ideas, conquests, or wishes. Search one thing, many things, and when you think that you've come up with something new? Nope. It's been done. At least ten times...
I often wonder what will become of us in ten years? What new aspect will the media bring upon us then? What will we do when nothing is new anymore? What type of services will we be able to use to expose each other with after the days of 'tweeting', 'gramming', and 'liking' are gone? Will it even ever end??
We were chatting in the staff room a while back and the topic of our convo was how to gain inspiration. Inspiration for our job specifically. Hairstyling can be so broad and then yet so specific, and at times I think many stylists can feel like they're doing the same thing over and over again.
I give you Pinterest! Our boards cover all things fashion and beauty related. If you're feeling like you are in a hair rut or not to sure what your next appointment should be booked for? Check out Pinterest and see if anything there juggles your creativity. I guess this is the new way to get inspired. The internet will always keep us wanting more and finding more.
I love looking at hair and I pay attention to the styling of images. The hair and styling of the images I've posted inspire me to be more natural and to embrace the beauty that we are born with. (obviously these women are practically models but who cares?...) These women all possess a natural look that I'm drawn to and thanks to the internet, I will never really need a muse... :)
Peace

TOP TWO: nail polish edition.
I have been using PRITI NYC nail polish for over a year now, and I can still say that I love it. Over this period of time though, I have definitely developed a few favorites. Each polish paints on differently. Factors such as consistency, type of finish (shimmer, creme, translucent), and shade can play a huge role.
Last summer as well as this summer, Lungwort has been a top favorite from customers. It made my top two for its gorgeous hue as well as its great consistency. I have not once had a complaint from this polish. It suites both young and old, tanned and fair skinned. Its a beautiful "tiffany blue," some may even consider it a mint, with a creme finish. Two coats is all you need with this one, therefore a great polish to keep on hand at home for any type of event or quick sprucing up.
My new favorite is definitely American Beauty. It is the perfect summer red. It is bright enough without going neon. Adding this pop of color on your toes will bring on the sunshine and good summer vibes. I love this one on hands as well to accessorize with any outfit (except maybe pink, ha!). This is also a color that needs only two coats, so doesn't take forever to dry. From it not being a deep and dark red, it makes it super easy to clean up around the cuticles. We all have our shaky days...
So there you go, my top two favorite nail polish hues of the moment. What are yours?

PRODUCT REVIEW Compressed towel tablets
I love these towels! As a mother of young ones, I need to have a handy wipe around at all times. Prospector Co, a line we carry at the shop, has these great towel tablets. You get six in a jar and all you need to do is add water. The tablets turn into wipes that you can use on faces, hands, and genteel parts. Because you just add water, you don't have to worry about any of the chemicals that can be present in many over-the-counter wipes.
It's too bad that you only get six in a jar but I like to think that being able to reuse this cute 2 oz. jar makes up for it. ( I have three already...) Also, because it's a 2 oz. jar, it can fit almost anywhere! To be fair you don't need to have kids to get this product, it's handy, and works really well. That's the fresh perspective...
