CAN YOU FEEL IT? So it's back to school and a whole lot more!  There's so much to do this time of year and it can be totally overwhelming.  Can I just say that I am a bit overwhelmed myself?  The shop is going to be entering it's fourth year of life and the changes keep piling up.

We would like to hire another a few more staff members, we would like more space, we would like to be able to offer more types of services to our clients, we want to be better, we want to do the best possible job we can and we want you to FEEL it when you come in the shop.  We want you to FEEL the difference when you check us out online.  We want you to FEEL the difference when you chat with us on the phone.

At the shop, my job is to make you feel your best with the amount of time I've been given.  We want to know what more we can do to make you FEEL like your experience was indeed a good one.  I'm looking into ways to make sure that when you experience Freshair Boutique (in whatever way you do) you can feel good every time.  Great even!  It's necessary for me to attempt to understand why people choose certain places and things over others.  What's the difference?  How you FEEL.  That's it.  That's all.

This is one aspect about owning your own business that I actually love.  It keeps you on your toes and there is always something that can be done to get better.  Things can always be better, even though, things are pretty great right now....  It's my job as the boss lady to try to make sure that we're doing things to the fullest of our abilities. I like my job...

Months, if not YEARS go into planning the big day.  The amount of effort put into all the details is incredible.  Yet somehow, it seems to fly by...

Fear not, these things will never be lost nor forgotten.  These memories are the ones that stay with us forever, and each hold a special place in our hearts.  Although, in this day and age, wedding photography is a booming business and rightfully so.  It is super important to have those consults with your photographer to make sure they have the same understanding of what you're wanting to capture on that one and only day.  Word of mouth, and proof of work are key.  The internet is a great tool to scope your options.  Here are some Winnipeg photographers that I find to be unbelievably talented, and would do your very special day more than justice (just incase you're in the market)...

WEDDING SHOWERS.

Tis' the season for weddings and showers.  Last night I held a vintage inspired, backyard bbq at our family farm.  Here's a few photos for a quick, sneak peak.

Simplicity and personal touch are everything.

- Card, design inspiration from one of our stylists at work Andrée. 

- The hilarious crown my aunt made for my brother the groom, being sported by my papa (father of the groom).

- Music station, vintage records, record player and wild flowers.  Can't get much better.

I thought that picture was pretty cute.  Even though toe nails may seem useless, they aren't!  However, I feel like I can speak on behalf of the majority of people who think feet are odd/strange looking.  Now that summer is upon us, we're all breaking out the sandals and bare feet.  AHHHH.  When you have freshly polished toe nails, there's never a worry that someone may see you bare foot.  Here's a few of my favourite simple & fun looks for some summer toes...

REASONS TO GET A PEDICURE

1. Your feet hold the entire weight of your body.  That's a lot of pressure on a daily basis, and reason enough to make them a top priority!

2. Calluses, dry skin, and blisters continue to develop regularly.  Proper exfoliation can help prevent your feet from getting to a dry/cracked point of no return.

3. Moisture, moisture, moisture!  Our skin needs constant hydration, especially the skin on our feet.  If you've ever experience the dry cracking, you probably know how difficult it is to repair that.  A pedicure is a great spot to start that healing process.  A nice thick lotion is generally applied during the massage part of the service.

4. Tough, stubborn nails.  It is quite common for toe nails to be thick, or become ingrown.  This can be extremely uncomfortable, especially shoved into shoes!  Don't stress yourself out by attempting to fix them yourself, because it is most likely you will create more damage than good.  Trust me, there's a reason why there are professionals who have taken training for this.  A regular nail trim, can make all the difference.

5. Relaxation.  We all deserve it, plain and simple.  The idea of just being able to sit back, soak your feet in a tub of hot water, have them cared for, and massaged to release all that tension is quite dreamy.

Now these are just a few reasons, but definitely important ones.  I highly recommend getting a regular pedicure to keep you and your feet the most happy.  It's totally worth it.
