Consultation

We strongly recommend booking a consultation when considering any hair color. Whether you are new to our salon, looking for a new style, or looking to get some accurate pricing. This will provide you with all of that information, along with the chance to meet your stylist face to face and make a game plan from there.
A consultation is 15 minutes and is a $10 charge. If you book in for your service within the month, your consultation fee is waived.
Hair Cutting Services
Barber Style Cut
45 minutes
For the short haired clients, where the stylist will be using mostly clippers. This appointment is 45 minutes long and is recommended every 4-6 weeks to maintain a fresh look.

Scissor Style Cut

For the mid to long haired clients, where the stylist will not be using their clippers. A standard haircut, any style you’d like.

If you are looking to change your style completely (for example, long to pixie cut), we recommend booking a little more time so your stylist can perfect the look you are hoping for.

Thick Cut

Transform your thick locks with a specialized haircut. Our expert stylists will sculpt your hair to reduce bulk, enhance texture, and create a tailored look that brings out the best in your thick hair.

Clean Up

This service is for short hair/barber cut clients when you are looking to stretch the time between your full appointments. You’ll get a trim around the ears and at the back of your neck.

You must have been to Freshair Boutique for a barber cut service prior to booking a cleanup. It is preferred that you book your cleanup with the stylist who cut your hair, but not mandatory if there’s schedule conflicts.

Perfect when your hair is still looking fresh but your bangs are in your eyes! Pop in for a 15 minute touch up anytime you need.

Bump Up

A cleanup specifically created for scissor style haircuts. If you need a little spruce, but not quite a cut, this service is for you. This can also be known as “just a trim”. Feel free to pop in for a little touch up anytime between your full services.
Shampoo & style not included.
Please come with fairly clean hair. You must have been to Freshair Boutique for a scissor cut service prior to booking a bump up. It is preferred that you book your bump up with the stylist who cut your hair, but not mandatory if there’s schedule conflicts.

A standard little kids cut. A wash is typically not included in this service as kiddo’s have a tough time reaching their heads in our sinks. If you need a wash, we can try at your appointment - just ask :)

Touch up your roots during this style of appointment. Perfect for solid colors & grey coverage.

Partial Highlights

With a partial highlight, color is applied to the hairline and crown of the head.

Full Highlights
3+ hours
Highlights are applied to sections of hair throughout the head, instead of on just the topmost layer.
Traditional highlights are when sections of hair are woven and lightened from the root through to the ends leaving some natural hair in between. Specific sectioning techniques are used to make sure hair is evenly highlighted so it doesn’t have a streaky result. The woven sections of hair are usually folded into foils to keep them isolated from the other hair.

Full Bleach/Global Blonde

If you currently are not a bleach client you will want to do a corrective color to make that transition either from highlights or no color at all to get you in the first step of being a bleach person! Global blondes are so much fun because you can be a bright blonde but you still have a lot of options on what kind of blonde you would like to be. If you are thinking about doing all over blonde please schedule a consultation first this is where you and your stylist will discover if you are in fact a Corrective Color service to start and then get on a schedule of Bleach retouch appointments

Bleach Re-Touch

For any bleach client looking to hide their roots. For optimal results, please book every 6 weeks to avoid brassy banding. If an extended amount of time between services has passed, the appointment can turn into a corrective color which is much more time consuming and costly.

Balayage

Balayage is a freehand painting technique that creates a super blended multi-tonal and sun-kissed result. It is super different in the way that it is applied, as lighter pieces are blended throughout, starting very fine at the top of the hair and gradually getting thicker though the mid-lengths and ends. This is a specialty service and is reflected in the price and time required by your stylist.

Perfect for a client needing to drastically fix a color or wanting to drastically change a color. We suggest any client wanting a big change in one appointment to go with a Corrective Color service! This is to allow us to take the right amount of time to put into your end results. Whether you are going from a dirty blonde to all over platinum in one sitting, dying your hair blue, or maybe taking your hair back from years of bleaching to your natural color this is the service for you! We love big appointments like this but we do require a consultation beforehand to ensure it is booked with the correct timing based on your specific hair.

Pastel Hair

Softened, lightened hues of colors such as red, purple, green, orange, yellow, or blue. Pastel tones can be colorants or toning shades, and are best achieved when applied to very pale blonde hair to create, for example, pink, lavender or mint green tones. A consultation is required prior to booking to ensure this is an attainable look for your hair type. Please note that these styles may take multiple appointments to reach your desired look, therefore are also an investment. Maintenance & correct product use will be key for this look.

Toner

A demi- or semi-permanent color formula applied to hair to blend and even out unwanted hues (i.e., brassiness,). Toners will not make your hair lighter. Toners will enhance your current color or neutralize brassy hues. *In the majority of cases, toner is required for any blonding services like highlight/bleach appointments. Ask your stylist for details if you are unsure what role toner will play in your color service.
*We have adjusted our service to include a blow dry and/or haircut if needed. Please note the haircut/blow dry price is additional to the price listed below for toner.

Your hair will be styled into the desired updo, half updo, or any formal style you choose.
This service does not include a wash or blow dry, please come with clean hair. We recommend washing your hair the day before so it is not “too clean” or “slippery”.
Please come prepared with photos. If this is an event that you are in the center of, we recommend coming for a trial prior to be sure we have figured out exactly the look you are going for.

Bridal Updo

Your hair will be styled into the desired updo, half updo, or any formal style you choose for your wedding.
This service does not include a wash or blow dry, please come with clean hair. We recommend washing your hair the day before so it is not “too clean” or “slippery”.
Please book a trial prior to your wedding date. This will ensure you are completely satisfied with your final look.

This appointment will be to try out your desired style, or trial a couple of different styles to get an idea of what you prefer on the day of your event. This is highly recommended if there’s any uncertainty or if you are in the center of the event/photos (aka. your own wedding).

A quick up-do from on of our 4 style options on our website. Please come with clean hair, ready to be styled. There are no hot tools used in this service. If you ask for hot tools or more than what the style is made to be, the price will be adjusted accordingly.

A perm is like setting a “permanent hairstyle” into your hair. This hairstyle involves curls and waves that, although not exactly permanent, will last several months. Perming your hair involves chemical means to set these curls.
Permed hair seems deceptively low-maintenance, but it can be a challenge to maintain especially if your locks aren’t at their healthiest. If you want curls that stay soft and bouncy (as opposed to dry and crunchy), you need to prepare properly. Please book a consultation to see if a perm is right for you and make a plan with a stylist to get the most out of this service.
An average perm booking is around 3 hours, however it does vary depending on your specific hair type. A consultation will provide you with an exact time & price commitment.

Full Relaxer

By definition, a hair relaxer is a lotion or cream that makes the hair easier to straighten and manage. Relaxers reduce the curl by breaking down the hair strand thus chemically altering the texture. Most people who decide to get their hair relaxed have curly hair and want it to be straight and frizz free. The results vary depending on your hair type, but usually a hair relaxer will leave your hair straight for approximately 8 to 12 weeks. This can vary depending on how much you wash your hair.

Relaxer Re-Touch

The relaxer is applied to the roots or new growth of the hair. Once the relaxer has worked to the desired consistency the hair is then rinsed, neutralized and deep conditioned.

Extensions

If you are considering investing in extensions, a consultation with a certified stylist is required.
Our stylists work with tape in extensions. There is no requirement to commit at your consultation, however, if you decide it is right for you we can determine exactly what you will need at that appointment and provide you with a quote. We will get you booked in from there.
Kitty, Alex & Chanté all work with Philocaly or Babe hair extensions.
Price: $200 (junior stylist) $300 (master stylist) for 2 hours maximum. Any extra time will result in an hourly rate of $70 (junior) $80 (master).
*These service prices do not include cost of hair. Hair will be ordered and paid in full up front as your appointment deposit.

Extension Touch Up

Recommended every 6-8 weeks. Your stylist will remove your extensions, wash & blow dry your hair, and re-intsall your extensions. If any shaping is needed they will do so as well. You’ll leave with your hair looking fresh!

Price: $200 (junior stylist) $300 (master stylist) for 2 hours maximum. Any extra time will result in an hourly rate of $70 (junior) $80 (master).

Extension Removal

Over the extensions? Book your removal at anytime and your stylist will take our your extensions and pack them up for you. You will receive a wash, haircut (if needed), and a blow dry/style.

Braids & Afro Services
New clients receiving any braid service are required to book a consultation prior to booking their service.
All services do not include the cost of extensions. If you are looking to add extensions please consult with your stylist at least a week in advance so hair can be acquired in time.
PRICES VARY FROM ONE CLIENT TO THE NEXT TAKING INTO CONSIDERATION THE FOLLOWING: Length of hair, thickness of hair, custom color blends, short hair, thin hair, longer length braid or twists extensions, requesting that braids be made extra small or extra large are some factors that may change price.

Single braids all over your head.
Regular singles on an Afro without a wash can be booked for 1.5 hours, depending on hair length and density. Elastics may be used to secure the style if no extension is added.
Extensions can be added to single braids, however it needs to be discussed during your consultation as this requires much more time and will be booked accordingly.

Little ‘french braids’ that are laid all over your head. The braids follow the head shape and allow for no volume. Great for wig wearing and crochet styles.

Hair that has been pre-sectioned into strands that are permanently locked into the hair. This style is reserved for Afros only. Locs are twists that are left in for a determined amount of time.

For Afros only. Hair is placed in sections and then is double stranded and twisted. That’s two sections of hair twisted around each other till the end of the hair strand. The look is lighter and fuller than single braids or box braids.
Extensions can be added for length but the appointment timing & cost will increase. A rough estimate on appointment timing is between 4 to 7 hours. A consultation will determine exactly what time & cost you can expect.

Afro/Curl Tutorial for Parents

“Help me! Style & Care Tutorial for your Kiddo’s Curls
Are you struggling caring for & maintaining your child’s Afro/curls? You are not alone, and we are here to help! This new service will work towards giving you the confidence to maintain and style your child’s curls
Your first appointment will consist of a consultation to really get to the bottom of the areas you struggle most with. We will then go through a step by step washing & detangling process and discuss and demonstrate specific recommended styles that you can learn to do yourself! We will recommend the best suited products to keep the integrity of your child’s hair, that will also help detangle, hydrate & maintain a style.
The two options you will choose from to book in is hair length (short or long). This will give us a general idea of timing for the initial appointment. Any appointment afterwards will be tailored specifically to your needs and will be recommended by your stylist.
You can choose to have this service as a one-time tutorial, or you can purchase a package and pre book your follow-ups at the recommended timing. Your stylist will discuss options for the packaged service as it will vary depending on your exact needs.

If your hair is feeling a little lacklustre or dry, a treatment may be the perfect add on. The stylist will tailor the masque to your hair needs. Please book this as an add on to a blow dry or other service.

Scalp Massage

Sit back & relax at the sink while getting rid of your daily stresses. Your massage will be a quiet service, as talking can sometimes take away from relaxation. Unless you choose to chat, then we’re all for it! Your stylist will determine how intense you want the pressure to be once they get started.

Scalp Treatment

It’s ingrained in us to blame our strands for build-up or a lacklustre appearance, but the scalp actually plays a much larger role than we know and could be the key to uncovering better hair days.
Discuss with one of our stylists to assess your scalp needs. A treatment will then be applied at the beginning of your hair service. If booking on it’s own, please add a blow out service if you are looking to leave with dry & styled hair.
